我在法硕就业分析文章中说过：法律硕士毕业生还有一个重要的就业去向就是知识产权代理机构（商标，专利等）--主要是本科为外语，理工科尤其是电子、机械、材料与计算机等专业，收入还不错。
本简历中的前辈是律师，又有专利代理人证书，如果外语也不错，去知识产权代理机构还是很适合的（兼作专利法务），尤其是在北京，年龄大点也不怕，这是经验和稳重嘛。一般讲，专利代理人侧重技术，法律为辅；而专利律师，则是法务为主，技术为辅。专利律师的含金量更大，很多大的知识产权代理机构，最后都直接或间接地设立了自己可以控制的律师事务所，专司知识产权/专利法务。
兰州大学，虽然是985，虽然曾经辉煌过，但主要就亏在地理位置-任何学科都一样，不管是它本来就很强的化学物理等基础主力学科，还是如法学院这样的新兴辅助学院。
